Alex Ramos (Former Boxing Champ)
Host Kweisi Mfume chats with Alex "The Bronx Boxer" Ramos. Mfume explores the remarkable life of this former U.S. Boxing Association Middleweight Champion - an ex-amateur boxing star who talks the talk and walks the walk. Alex gives us insight into his dark days, including glimpses of his torrid past, his moments of glory, and how he is fighting for the rights of boxers all around the world. Ramos also talks about the personal demons he overcame in his life in order to help many others face theirs.

Ramos states, “I am not interested in the publicity that surrounds my personal life, and in fact, I have a lot of pain in bringing up my past, but if it helps one person make a better decision, or one person realize that ‘the past is like your ass—its behind you!’ then I am happy to share. For the benefit of the Retired Boxers Foundation and all the people who have helped me with this organization, and most importantly, for all of my brothers in boxing, I was honored to be a featured guest. Hopefully, people will see the message of hope and dignity that are the building blocks of the Retired Boxers Foundation.”
